Born in Budapest, Cathe and her family came to America to escape communism. As a young child she was raised in NYC and then Long Island. Pursuing a career in Fashion she became a successful Fashion Designer, working for major manufacturers and famous fashion designers. She and her husband discovered Columbia County while visiting friends who had built a home in Hillsdale. They bought a home in Ghent and spent years creating gardens, planting trees, designing an art studio and expanding the house to suit their needs. Cathe pursued her passion for equestrian sports, entertaining, gardening, antiquing, and decorating. At the same time she became very involved in many local organizations such as: The Columbia County Land Conservancy, The Hudson Opera House, Old Chatham Hunt Club, Olana, and The Shaker Museum. Working closely with these groups, as only a weekender, she realized she wanted to become a full time member of the community. She believed her skills could easily translate to the Real Estate profession. Being used to deadlines, working under pressure, negotiating, multi tasking and possessing good follow up and people skills make her a natural. Cathe is creative and thinks ‘out of the box’ to get the job done successfully. Personal Real Estate dealings led her to Beach & Bartolo – the number one agency in the county for years.
